How to watch DVD movies on iPad?

I have a lot of DVD movies, and I’d like to watch it on iPad. I don’t know which software I should choose. There are much software declare that could convert DVD movies to iPad. For instance, WinX DVD Ripper for Mac, Handbrake, MacTheRipper…. which is the best way to deal with it? Thanks!

well, i don't have an ipad but i guess the first question is what format video does the ipad play with the best quaility?
i "think" is either quicktime or avi?

then you would need to rip the dvd, and then convert that iso file to the ipad's format
