I am in the process of installing a deep fringe large directional antenna on my roof. The stations I am attempting to receive are all between 26 and 42 miles away over flat terrain, and at 223°,225°,227°,231°,and 232° respectively.
Should I point the antenna midway between these headings? Also, with about 25 to 30 feet of RG6 between the antenna and the set, would a signal amplifier be any help?

The deep fringe antenna should not need an amplifier at the distance your at, the direction to point it should be in-between the stations as the beamwidth should be wide enough to handle them all.

One last thing, the antenna should be as high on the roof as possible, mounted on the peak with at least 2 ten foot sections of mast should do (don’t forget to guy it down), if there are trees in the way then you may have to go higher to clear them.
