Bought a monoprice indoor/outdoor antenna HDA-5700, have not receive it yet, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. Does this need to be grounded if i place it on the side of my house under the eaves? or is it best to place in attic, live in southern ontario, my first store bought antenna (reviews for this thing are over the top) any thoughts, ideas would be appreciated!

It depends on how far away from the transmitters you are, in the attic may work if your close to them, if your on the outskirts of town then outside is best, also if you have other buildings around you, you may have to mount it on a pole to get a good signal.
It should also face the transmitters, it’s best to read the directions on how it needs to be mounted to get the best signal.
Some of these hi-tech or home made antennas fork fine if your close enough to the TV transmitters, but when you get 30 to 50 miles or more away then you need a higher gain more directional outdoor antenna to receive them.
