find out if your tv has the atsc and ntsc tuners in it.
if so, you can hook up an antenna or rabbit ears to get the OTA channels that is in your area.

In your area you would be picking up channels from Vermont. I would recommend a good outdoor UHF antenna such as the Channel Master 4228HD. It will have to be aimed towards the transmitters, so you won't be able to get the Montreal channels at the same time. If you wanted both US and Canadian channels you would need a rotator.
A pre-amp may be required, but maybe not. It depends on your cable run and signal levels.

butch...
Check out this post to see what stations you can expect to get OTA...
http://www.otatalk.com/ota-reception-results/1526-list-montreal-area-ota-tv-stations.html
When the DTV switch in the US is complete (it is as of today), local stations will be found on new channels.
You will need to rescan for channels on or after Feb. 18 to see the updated channels.
NBC WPTZ will be found on channel 5.1
CBS WCAX is currently on 53, but will be found on channel 3.1
FOX WFFF will be found on channel 44.1
ABC WVNY will be found on channel 22.1
PBS WETK is currently on channel 33 and will move to channel 33.1
PBS WCFE will be found on channel 57.1
BTW... The 2 PBS stations transmit in HD...
Keep in mind that Canada does not transition to Digital until August 31, 2011 so you will still be able to receive the following Canadian Analog stations
2 CBFT SRC Montréal, QC
6 CBMT CBC Montréal, QC
8 CJOH CTV Cornwall, ON
10 CFTM TVA Montréal, QC
12 CFCF CTV Montréal, QC
17 CIVM TQ Montréal, QC
29 CFTU IND Montréal, QC
35 CFJP TQS Montréal, QC
46 CKMI Global Montréal, QC
62 CJNT E! Montréal, QC
Hope this helps...

The sat finder won't work with OTA signals...
Other than that, just aim the antenna towards the transmitting tower(s). In your case you will aim to the South. Your US networks will come from Burlington, VT.
