Does anyone receive OTA stations in Manitoba? If so what channels where are you located? If not is there any info as to when we will get lit up.

Sorry for the noob questions. I have to start somewhere!

I don't think you will get any digital/HD broadcasts in Manitoba. You would only get the analog channels (CBC, CTV, SRC).

That is what I thought satchick. I have tried to do some research but came up blank.
Do you know of any sources that provide info for future broadcasts? After all Canada are going digital too in the distant future aren't they, just like the USA?

Yes, Canada is supposed to be making the transition in August 2011. TVfool.com has a listing, but keep in mind that those Canadian stations aren't on-air in digital yet, and probably won't be until 2011.

When using TVfool for a canadian address you should use GPS coordonates for your location.

we are not big enough to get hd feeds :( knrr is digital in north dakota and since i am close to the boarder i get it

Just out of interest Mabs (not giving your position away LOL). How close is close? What I am trying to say is what is a reasonable distance to be able to get these signals. 5 miles, 10 miles, 100 miles. Sorry for the noob questions.............I do learn fast though :)

50-80+ miles is possible depending on the station output power, the terrain at your location, and your antenna/receiver configuration.

Besides the regulars I pick up something called Joytv on 35......nice and clear.
Knrr is kinda iffy for me at times but still watchable most.
